Course Offerings

The Yellowstone Language Institute’s Pre-TESOL Course is an innovative online learning experience that incorporates traditional taped lectures with live, twice-weekly, 1-on-1 discussion sessions conducted by English-speaking Master Teachers. No other TESOL program offers YLI’s exclusive live discussion sessions.

While taking the Pre-TESOL Course, students are immersed in key TESOL concepts and terminology. Students read a series of short, focused selections and view accompanying video lectures. Then they meet with their Master Teachers twice a week for 25-minute, 1-on-1, focused discussions of each featured TESOL topic. This unique feature of YLI’s Pre-TESOL Course distinguishes our program from all other programs currently on the market.

In addition, the Pre-TESOL course is designed to support native and non-native English speakers by instructing on both educational and English language fundamentals. The class structure is uniquely designed to prepare learners for the more comprehensive YLI Hybrid TESOL Course.

TEE 201: Teaching English in English - Advanced Course

The Yellowstone Language Institute’s Teaching English in English (TEE) Advanced Course is an innovative learning experience that incorporates self-study and live, twice-weekly, 1-on-1 discussion sessions conducted by certified U.S. school teachers.

The course is designed to support non-native English speakers teaching English in their home country or abroad. Designed around weekly readings and real-life classroom situations, students in TEE develop their English speaking and teaching skills, share in tips and advice for improving the English classroom learning environment, and participate in an invaluable cross-cultural exchange with fellow education professionals.

In addition, the TEE Advanced Course provides English Language Learning (ELL) instructional skills to help train students in running a multi lingual classroom. This course, while suitable for all educators, is particularly beneficial for educators with an advanced and diverse classroom.
